"Limited Liability and the Polluter Pays Principle: parent companies and environmental costs".

The topic of the lecture is:

"Lessons to be learnt from case law from the Court of the European Union in other kinds of cases than PPP cases, such as antitrust law cases"

More about the thesis
The thesis explores the conflict between commercial and environmental interests, through the prism of company law and environmental law.

The hypothesis, which is further substantiated in the thesis, is that the company law doctrine of Limited Liability may interfere with the intended working of the EU environmental Polluter Pays Principle. By seeking an appropriate legal response to this problem, the thesis explores potential mitigating solutions.
