Michael Steinicke’s areas of research are primarily public procurement law, EU law and international and Danish market and competition law.

Head of the Department of Law at Aarhus University, professor Michael Steinicke, has chosen to resign from his position as head of department as of 1 June 2014. He has been head of department since 2011.

Over the last three year, there has not been much room in Michael Steinicke’s busy schedule for research, and so his primary reason for resigning is that he wishes to be able to dedicate more of his time to his research. But resigning from the position was not easy, he says.

“I have had some incredibly exciting years as head of department, and it took me a while to reach the decision to resign. But I have come to the conclusion that I want to make more time for my research, continue working on the research I have contributed to previously and delve into the academic topics that have grabbed my interest. Rapid developments are currently taking place within my fields of research, and it is necessary for me to part of it at exactly this moment,” emphasises Michael Steinicke.

Michael Steinicke’s areas of research are primarily public procurement law, EU law and international and Danish market and competition law.
