The conference is relevant to:
- Importing and exporting businesses
- Contract managers end negotiators
- In-house legal counsel
- Adjudicators (arbitration or courts)
- Government officials
Background and purpose
The Nordic and the Baltic countries have recently experienced significant changes in their international commercial law frameworks, such as the withdrawal of reservations to the UN Convention on Contract for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). These changes in legislation inevitably create new legal questions and cause familiar legal challenges to resurface.
The conference provides a forum for reconsideration of the current status and challenges of international commercial law. At the conference, leading legal experts will present what they believe to be the most challenging and important issues in the interpretation, application, unification, and research of international commercial law
